Green Power Communities are collectively buying nearly 2.6 billion kWh of green power annually, resulting in significant reduction in carbon emissions from conventional sources. A wide range of organizations purchase green power, including: federal, state, and local governments; universities; businesses. Many states already require utilities to supply some of their electricity from renewable sources.
